Unveiled at Baselworld in 2016 was this tool watch with a 40mm stainless steel case, black satin-finished dial, and Oystersteel bracelet. It's unlike any other Rolex, though. This pilot's watch took inspiration from military aviation timepieces. On its black dial background are Arabic numeral hour markers in unusual typography, the central sweep seconds and Rolex text in green, and the crown motif in yellow. The Mercedes hour and minute hands are fashioned in 18k white gold with luminescent material that glows green. The face is simple yet attractive, and definitely very easy to read. Powering this timepiece is the 31-jewel caliber 3131 automatic movement with a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.

Offered in pre-owned condition, Rolex Air-King Black Steel Watch 116900 comes accompanied by dated papers and the manufacturer's box.
